JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – JBL CNC Global Link, a new importer with affordable CNC machines, has entered the South African market with the aim of supplying a variety of CNC equipment to the metal processing and engineering industries.
The company was founded by an industrialist with 17 years of experience in the sector, who is also involved in Dabaresa Precision Engineering—a long-standing firm that has supported the mining, construction, and earthmoving sectors for over two decades. The decision to launch JBL CNC Global Link follows a six-month research initiative, including site visits to eight manufacturers in China. As a result, the company has partnered with three Original Equipment Manufacturers: Quacare, Antishicnc, and Baofeng.
The first shipment includes four gang tool lathes and one 1160 Vertical Machining Center (VMC). Additional offerings include milling, turning, boring machines, and band saws. The company also imports CNC accessories such as chucks, jaws, tool holders, and vices, sourced from Kunshan Liyuanxin Metal Products.
As a new importer with affordable CNC machines, JBL CNC Global Link cites improved quality in Chinese manufacturing as a key factor in their supplier selection. The company notes that offering these machines at lower price points could make CNC technology more accessible to a broader range of South African businesses.
According to a company representative, after-sales service and industry knowledge are central to the company’s offering. Drawing from the founder’s experience in jobbing and high-volume machining environments, the company aims to provide reliable technical support alongside its equipment.
JBL CNC Global Link’s entry into the market reflects a broader trend of diversification in machinery sourcing, as businesses seek cost-effective solutions without compromising on capability.
