Retecon was established in 1970 by Mr. Burkhard Herrmann supplying tooling to the South African engineering industry.

The name RETECON is as an abbreviation of REliable TEchnical CONsultants.

Since 1970 we have grown and gained vast experience, expertise and success. We look back to the period of transfer from conventional machines to computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines as a challenging one.

Our persistent and positive attitude towards uncompromising excellence in service has paid off and today forms a strong base for a successful future. With the ongoing quest for new technologies, the level of service demanded by our clients has increased to more than just the capability to repair machinery. Today, and in the future, we will have to reliably demonstrate how to efficiently apply highly advanced technologies and continuously train our customers’ technical staff in the most economical use thereof.
